Do I Live in the PRC Delivery Area (PRCDA)?

PRC covers people living in the PRC delivery area (PRCDA). In December 2023 IHS combined the areas of the seven Mid Atlantic tribes, including the Chickahominy, into one region covering most of Virginia, 16 Maryland counties and Baltimore City, and 21 North Carolina counties.
Nearby, the published list names New Kent, James City, and Henrico counties, plus Williamsburg and Richmond. Charles City County, where the clinic itself stands, does not appear on the printed list, so ask the PRC office to confirm your address before you go further.

Why Should I Pick Thundermaker for My Treatment and Recovery in Arizona?

Recovery is hard to start in the same house and on the same roads where the drinking or using happened. A few weeks away from Charles City County breaks those daily patterns and puts the easy access, the old friends, and the old routines out of reach. That space gives your mind and body room to reset, in a program where Native culture shapes each day.
Thundermaker is Native owned and operated and staffed by Native people who have been through recovery themselves. Through our Cultural and Traditional Program, ceremony, sweat lodge, drum, gardening, and traditional arts sit next to licensed counseling. Your plan may use the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and individual and family counseling.
Before you head home, we connect you with support in Charles City, so the work keeps going.
Every person who reaches out is welcomed as a relative.
